Welcome to English 1, the most important thing that Pastors must learn is how to communicate effectively. This class is about finding your voice as a Pastor, learning what information is important and to improve on it. In this class you will have several assignments, you must submit them in Microsoft Word as an attachment to your introduction email. The email must introduce your work.
Assignment 1 Go to the resource Library and complete the assignment listed there. You will find the Giglamesh story and you must show how it corresponds to the bible's account of Noah. Each Tablet must be done in seperate posts.
Assignment 2 Is to find your voice, there are 3 topics, you must write a 200 word essay in which you will take a quote from the people listed here and turn it into a mini sermon.

B) "It is an old saying, Repentence is never too late: but it is a true saying, Repentance is never too soon." - Henry Smith
C) "Religion is the best Armor, but it is the worst cloak." - Thomas Fuller
Assignment 3 is very important because one of the things that is important to a minister is to be able to write a sermon. This is your first sermon. You will see more of this in English 2 but this is your first one. The topic for this sermon is "No Faith, No Church".
Assignment 4 is also very important and it is in 2 parts, both are childrens sermons. Choose an Old Testament sermon and a New Testament sermon. Write this in a language children will understand.
There is no final exam for this course. However each Assignment is worth 25% each. Please enjoy this class.
